中学２年生でGrade ９からイギリスのボーディングスクールへの留学予定で、9月の出発までに英語、数学を、レベルアップするために、Watanabeオフィスからのご紹介で入学されました。夏休みの期間限定という短期間ではありましたが、週3日ほど2コマずつの授業を集中して受講して下さいました。インターナショナルスクールに行っていることもあり、高いレベルではありましたが、苦手な文法や数学の強化が必要な為、重点的に対策を行いました。

Shota undertook a 2-month long intensive English course, to try and raise his level before he goes to England to study at a Secondary school there. The main textbook we used was from the Cambridge Interactive series, Level 1. We covered topics from Units 1 – 8, including Family, School Subjects, Jobs, Animals, and Rooms in a house. As regards Grammar, we studied Present Simple, Present Continuous, Past Simple, Comparatives & Superlatives.
We also spent some of our lessons discussing various cultural and social aspects of life in the U.K.
2ヶ月間の集中講座で英語力の向上を目指す。教科書はCambridge Interactive level 1を使用、Unit１～８のトピック(家族、学校教科、仕事、動物、家の中の事など)について学びました。文法面では、現在形、現在進行形、過去形そして比較級と最上級を勉強しました。

Weaker areas:
- Shota sometimes struggles with reading out loud. In particular, he has a tendency to drop the final hard consonant in words.
- He finds it difficult sometimes to use the correct tense. E.G “I playing soccer last week”
改善点：
・音読するのが難しいことがあります。特に、単語の最後の硬子音(d, g, cなど)の音が抜けてしまう傾向にあります。
・時制の使い分けが難しい時があります。“I playing soccer last week” も、正しくは、“I played soccer last week”

コース概要
数学の苦手な単元を復習、そして数学用語の知識を増やすこと。
Topics:
Number theory: Order of operations, multiplying decimals
Indices and roots: multiplying and dividing and simplifying
Algebra: Collecting terms, expanding brackets, factorising, rearranging and solving equations.
Shapes: names and properties, calculating areas and perimeters of regular and combined shapes.
Construction: Drawing triangles and angles using a compass. Bisecting angles and lines.
Triangle theory: Pythagorean theorem, using trigonometric functions, using the sine rule to find missing sides and angles.
単元：
整数論：演算の順序、少数の掛け算
指数とルート：掛け算、割り算と簡素化
代数：項を次数でまとめる、カッコの展開、因数分解、方程式の並び替えと、方程式を解く
図形：名前と特性。単体図形や複合図形の面積や周囲長さの計算
作図：コンパス等を使って角度や三角形を描く。角や線を二等分する
三角形理論：サインコサイン等の三角関数を使って、ピタゴラスの定理に従い、辺の長さや角度を求める
