A Weekend in Gifu – with Tom

I recently spent a pleasant weekend in Gifu prefecture, in Takayama city and Shirakawago village. I found the two places to be very tourist-friendly, with plenty of information and signs in English. The region is famous for the high-quality Hida beef and sake breweries, both of which I enjoyed a lot. As you can see in the picture I took, Shirakawago was particularly picturesque and the weather over the two days was beautiful.
